August 28, 2012 | General
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University will be holding a celebration for the one-year anniversary of the Stroh Center prior to BGSU's football home opener against Idaho.
The event will take place in the Falcon Spirit Plaza, located outside of the main ticket lobby, from 5-6 p.m. on Sept. 8, just prior to the 7 p.m. kick-off of the BGSU/Idaho football game. Fans are invited to mingle with fellow Falcon fans and enjoy cake and punch. The BGSU men's and women's basketball teams will also be in attendance for the event.
The Stroh Center was dedicated on Sept. 9, 2011 and the BGSU volleyball team played the first intercollegiate athletic event in the facility later that evening. The Falcons defeated unbeaten Michigan State in four sets in front of 2,961 fans, the largest home crowd to ever watch a BGSU volleyball match.
