Softball Adds Lights To Meserve Field

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University softball program is pleased to announce a new addition to Meserve Field this afternoon (Nov. 21). The home for the BGSU Falcons, Meserve Field has added six lights surrounding the diamond for the 2014 season.
"What an amazing day for the BGSU Softball family! Thank you to Lee and Marge Meserve for their generous gift," Salsburg said. "Their vision to raise Meserve Field into the elite status is coming true and we couldn't be more excited.
The Falcons will compete in five pre-conference tournaments at the beginning of the year, and are scheduled to play in 24 road games before taking on Western Michigan University in a doubleheader (March 28) on their home field.
"Lee and Marge have given so much to our program and this is simply the icing on the cake." Salsburg said.
Salsburg led the Falcons to a 27-24 overall record in 2013, including a 7-9 record in the Mid-American Conference. BGSU earned a trip to the conference postseason tournament for the second-straight season.
