Bergeron, Hockey Welcomes Three To Falcon Family

The Falcons have added Ryan Bednard, Chris Pohlkamp, and Samuel Craggs to the Falcon family.
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green ice hockey coach Chris Bergeron has announced the signing of three student-athletes during the fall of 2014. Bowling Green welcomes goaltender Ryan Bednard, defenseman Chris Pohlkamp and forward Samuel Craggs to the Falcon hockey family. Assistant coaches Ty Eigner and Barry Schutte sat down with BGSUFalcons.com to discuss what each player brings to Bowling Green. All videos can be found below.
Ryan Bednard | Goaltender
DOB: March 31, 1997 | Macomb, Mich
Height: 6'4" | Weight: 179 lbs
Ryan Bednard, the brother of 2014 BGSU commit Shane Bednard, has signed his National Letter of Intent. Bednard (Macomb, Mich) currently plays for the Johnston Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), where he has appeared in 14 games thus far, compiling a 2.93 goals against average and a .900 save percentage. Previously to playing with the Tomahawks, Bednard played for the Victory Honda U16, totaling a 1.62 goals against average and a .939 save percentage in 18 appearances between the pipes. Chris Pohlkamp | Defenseman
DOB: July 6, 1995 | Brainerd, Minn.
Height: 5'10" | Weight: 196 lbs
Chris Pohlkamp (Brainerd, Minn.) committed to the Bowling Green State University ice hockey program. Pohlkamp, who is the brother of current Falcons sophomore forward Matt Pohlkamp, currently plays for the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League. The defenseman has played in 16 games this season, compiling one goal and three assists for four points thus far in 2014-15. Samuel Craggs| Forward
DOB: Feb. 11, 1997
Height: 6'1" | Weight: 170 lbs
Samuel Craggs committed to Bowling Green State University by signing a National Letter of Intent to play ice hockey for the Falcons. Craggs, who is the brother of BGSU signee Lukas Craggs in the spring of 2014, currently plays for Team Illinois U18 in the High Performance Hockey League.
