* Sophomore Pat Flynn, in just his second match at BGSU, tied the school records for goals (five) and points (11) in a match. Both records were originally set by Don Popp, who had five goals and an assist in the Falcons' 11-0 win over Toledo on Sept. 16, 1981.
* Flynn now has 13 points through two matches this season. Last year, the Falcons' leading scorer (Ryan Comiskey) finished the year with 13 points.
* The Falcons have scored eight goals in the first half this season to date. Last year, BGSU had nine first-half goals during the entire season.
* Dating to last season, BGSU has won three consecutive matches at home. That three-match streak includes a pair of 8-0 victories, over IPFW (Nov. 5, 2013) and Findlay.
* BGSU now leads the series with Findlay by a 3-0-0 count, and the Falcons have outscored the Oilers, 38-0, in those three matches. BGSU downed UF by a 10-0 score in 1981 (just seven days before Popp's five-goal outburst vs. Toledo), and the Falcons scored a school-record 21 goals in a 1982 shutout win.
* Prior to Flynn's five-goal flurry vs. Findlay, no Falcon had scored as many as three goals in nearly five years, since a Cameron Hepple hat trick vs. Dayton on Sept. 18, 2009.
* Several players made their respective BGSU debuts on Tuesday night. Redshirt sophomore Ryan Heuton, redshirt freshman Brent Winkler and true frosh Chase Betenson, Beck Nebergall and Keaton Reynolds all saw action in a BG uniform for the first time.
* Flynn, as mentioned, has six goals and 13 points on the young season. He scored five points, including two goals, last year at DePaul University.
* Flynn has scored the match-winning goal in each of his first two games as a Falcon.
* Redshirt sophomore Max Auden had the first multiple-assist match of his career on Tuesday night. He now has three assists through two games this year, and four assists in his BG career.
* Senior Danny Baraldi scored a goal for the second consecutive match. Baraldi now has 51 career points on 16 goals and 19 assists at BGSU. He is on nearly a point-per-match pace, having scored those 51 points in 56 career contests.
* Heuton and fellow redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Nick Landsberger each have a season and career goals-against average of 0.00 at BGSU. Landsberger, the reigning Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, played the first half of the Findlay match and did not face a shot on goal. He made five saves in Friday's win vs. IUPUI. Heuton had one save in 45 minutes of relief vs. UF.
* Junior Ryan James has two assists on the year, matching his total in each of his first two seasons at BG. James now has 16 career points on five goals and six helpers.
* Freshman Prayag Jina had the first two assists, and the first multiple-assist game, of his young career.
* Freshman Brad Macomber's goal on Tuesday night was his first as a Falcon.
* Sophomore Jacob Roth, like Jina, had his first two career assists, and the first multi-assist match, of his career on Tuesday evening.
* Sophomore Joe Sullivan had three points vs. Findlay to match his career high. Sullivan also had a goal and an assist in last season's win at Davidson (Oct. 19, 2013). He is halfway to his point total (six) for all of last season.
* The Falcons now hit the road, heading to Pittsburgh, Pa., for this weekend's Duquesne Invitational. The Brown and Orange will meet Niagara University on Friday (Sept. 5) in a 3:00 p.m. start, then will face the host school on Sunday (Sept. 7) at 2:00 p.m.
* BGSU's next home match will be Friday, Sept. 12, vs. Northern Kentucky. First touch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
