Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Ticket Office has announced that season tickets for the 2015-16 BGSU Hockey season will go on sale Monday. Anticipation is high for the program following a 23-win season a year ago and the Falcons are targeting an NCAA Tournament bid. With the support of BGSU's fervent fans, Bowling Green was named the top hockey city in the state and one of the top 20 in the country earlier this year. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to support the Falcons every step of the way and to contribute to the culture that makes Bowling Green unique.
"On behalf of the entire program, I want to encourage fans to become season ticket holders," BGSU head coach Chris Bergeron said. "Our fans make the BGSU Ice Arena into one of the most feared places for opponents to play in the WCHA and have become the force behind the nickname 'The Madhouse On Mercer'. Getting so close to the NCAA Tournament in 2014-15 has confirmed that the plan is working. We need to take our program to the next level and, with your help, we are confident that we will."
Along with a 14-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) home slate, BGSU Hockey will host single games against rivals Ohio State, Miami and Western Michigan. The Falcons also host a two-game set against Clarkson and an exhibition game against the University of Toronto for a minimum of 20 opportunities to watch the team in the BGSU Ice Arena. In addition, WCHA First Round series tickets are INCLUDED if the Falcons should host, as they have in each of the past two years. Season ticket holders will also receive priority access to WCHA Championship and NCAA Tournament tickets and get complimentary season ticket holder parking if they are Falcon Club members as well.
Back by popular demand, the ticket exchange program is a unique opportunity for season ticket holders to make sure they never waste a ticket. Exchange your ticket for a game you are unable to attend for an extra ticket to another game (pending availability).
General admission tickets are just $169 and bench reserved tickets are $217. Faculty/staff/retirees can get bench reserved season tickets at the general admission price. Prime chairback season tickets are $313 and a $250 Falcon Club donation is also required. (Note, this donation has been reduced from $500 in prior seasons). Premium ice box tickets are currently sold out, but interested parties should contact the ticket office to join the waiting list.

Under Bergeron, who received a five-year contract extension earlier this month, BGSU Hockey has seen a revival, improving its win total in each of the past five years. Winners of the 1984 NCAA Division I National Championship, the program's 23-11-5 record a year ago was the best since the 1995-96 team won 26 contests. The team had three members of the WCHA's All-Rookie Team and returns 88 percent of its goal-scoring and its entire goalkeeping unit from a year ago. BGSU was ranked as high as No. 6 in the country and remained among the nation's top 20 for the entire season once entering the polls in November.
