Vie, Lemke Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golfer Rodrigue Vie and diver Talisa Lemke.
Male Athlete of the Week
Rodrigue Vie, a freshman from Epinal, France, finished seventh out of 97 golfers at the Border Olympics, hosted by Houston. Vie shot -6 over three days, posting a 66, followed by par rounds of 72 and 72. Vie led after his opening round 66 and helped the team to a seventh place finish out of 17 teams in head coach John Powers' debut.
Female Athlete of the Week
Talisa Lemke, a sophomore from Berlin, Germany, became the first Bowling Green diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships in 30 years when she finished in the top ten of the one-meter and three-meter competitions at the 2018 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Columbus, Ohio. On Thursday, she reached the finals on the one-meter boards by scoring 269.50 in the preliminary round, ranking 13th among the 18 to reach the finals. In the evening session, she earned 50+ points on three of her six dives to finish with 307.10 and a day-long total of 576.60. She completed the finals in fifth place. On Friday, Lemke earned 287.10 and sixth place in the preliminaries of the three-meter competition. She tallied a 60-point dive in the finals that helped her earn 561.70 total points and a ninth-place finish.
