Varsity BG Club
The Varsity BG Club is an exclusive organization open only to former Bowling Green State University varsity letterwinners. Almost 550 men and women former Falcons were members last year and that number is expected to climb even higher during the 2004-2005 membership year. The Club is governed by a volunteer Executive Committee, all former BGSU letterwinners, who serve three year terms.
WHAT WE DO
The Varsity BG Club undertakes one major project each year. Each fall we sponsor Letter Winners Weekend at one of our home football games. This weekend starts with the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday. On Saturday, many of the athletic programs hold their own reunions for their specific sport, but then everyone gathers in the Letter Winners Tent for pre-game festivities. In addition to recognizing all Falcon letter winners, we honor a deserving 25 and 50 year letter winner as well as recognizing a person who has made significant contributions to Falcon athletics, but is not a letter winner. It is another great opportunity to return to campus and visit with former classmates and teammates.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
As a Falcon letterwinner you can become a member of the Varsity BG Club two different ways. You can be a yearly member with a $25 donation or a lifetime member by donating $200.
All active members of the Varsity BG Club will receive:
- Membership in an exclusive organization open only to BGSU varsity letter winners.
- If you have email, periodic updates on the Varsity BG Club and the BGSU Athletic Department.
- The personal satisfaction in contributing to BGSU athletics through your continued involvement.
