"We're proud to be associated with Bowling Green State University," said Stan Korducki, President of Wood County Hospital. "The University is a vital organization in this community, and by working together we can both be more effective. The naming rights and athletic sponsorships help us to reach out to the community and create awareness of everything we do, especially our sports medicine program, rehabilitation and diagnostic services."

Korducki noted that Wood County Hospital's involvement at the University extends well beyond athletics.

• Four members of the Wood County Hospital medical staff serve as team physicians to the BGSU football, hockey and basketball teams.

• Wood County Hospital donated funds to the BGSU Foundation to facilitate the purchase of a mini-C-arm image intensifier for the orthopedic surgeons to use when diagnosing injuries that take place during a game.

• The Hospital serves as a clinical site for BGSU students majoring in allied health professions and provides internships to Healthcare Administration students.

• Wood County Hospital funds the Ned Baker Public Health Lecture Series.

• The Hospital endowed a scholarship in the College of Health and Human Services for a student majoring in a program related to the allied health professions.

"Wood County Hospital is a valued partner to BGSU and its athletic program," said Greg Christopher, BGSU Assistant Vice President/Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. "This naming partnership is an extension of our relationship. Whether it's helping our student-athletes on the sports medicine front or providing support through other avenues, we appreciate the backing of everyone at Wood County Hospital."

Wood County Hospital is a private, not-for-profit 162-bed general acute care facility founded in 1951 and named in honor of the people of Wood County. It serves a population of over 72,000 in Wood, Henry, Seneca, Sandusky and Hancock counties in Northwest Ohio.
