Falcons Ninth Through 54 Holes of Action at MAC Championships

NASHPORT, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team carded a 305 (18 holes) on Saturday afternoon, and currently sits in ninth at the Mid-American Conference Championships with a 54-hole score of 912.

While currently in ninth, the Falcons trail fourth-place Ohio by just 11 shots. Kent State leads the tournament after 54 holes with a score of 879. They are followed by Eastern Michigan (883), Ball State (894), Ohio (901), Akron (903), Northern Illinois (909), Miami (910), Toledo (910) and Bowling Green (912).

Tops for the Falcons is sophomore Matt Schneider. Schneider began the day in a tie for 22nd, but after carding a 1-under 71, he now sits in a tie for 12th with a score of 223.

Jace Walker is second on the team with a score of 224 after shooting a 77 this afternoon. He is currently in a tie for 15th.

Rounding out the Falcon roster is John Powers (234, T-33rd), Russell Goodwin (235, T-36th) and Trevor Spathelf (242, 44th).

The Falcons will close the MAC Championships on Sunday morning (May 4).
