Final Stats

ANN ARBOR, Michigan - In the tune-up for the 2008 Mid-American Conference Championships the Bowling Green State University track and field team seems to be hitting on all cylinders at exactly the right time as the Falcons set two Regional Qualifying marks, while finishing strong in several other events at the Len Paddock Invitational.

Tops on the team were Whitney Hartman and TaKarra Dunning. Hartman recorded a regional mark of 182-06 in the hammer throw, finishing first among college competitors. Dunning captured the shot put with a regional mark of 47-10.50.

Senior Lauren Bryant had a strong showing, finishing second in the discus with a toss of 147-04. She also finished fifth in the hammer throw (169-10).

Shantell Lewis finished second in the 100 meters with a season-best time of 12.21. Kylie Korsnack also set a personal best in the javelin with a throw of 111-03.

Senior Amanda Sefcik rounded out the Falcons' top performances with a fourth place finish in the long jump (18-02.50).

Up next for the Orange and Brown will be the MAC Championships, an event BGSU will be hosting on May 15-17.
