Victor DeOrio was a three-year football letterman from 1955-57, when he was the nation's 14th leading rusher and an All-Mid-American Conference first-team halfback for Bowling Green's 1956 undefeated and conference championship football team. DeOrio is listed 24 all time on BGSU's 1,000 Yard Rushing List. DeOrio was named first team All-Mid-American Conference for the first time in 1955. Also in that season, DeOrio was named All-Ohio second team.
Victor DeOrio was elected to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1977.
