Ways To Follow The Falcons
Falcon volleyball is hitting the airwaves for the 2013 season, as every match will be available online at BGSUFalcons.com. The Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization will have flagship coverage this season, calling all matches, home and away. This weekend, in addition to radio, fans can follow the Falcons at the InnTowner Invitational via live stats and video (fee). Both can be found on the volleyball schedule page at BGSUFalcons.com.

A Look Back At Last Weekend
Last weekend proved to be a challenging one for the Falcons, as they were defeated in all three matches at the Golden Dome Invitational. The Falcons battled all weekend long against stellar competition, falling to Notre Dame and No. 22 Purdue. The Falcons were also beaten in exhibition play by Dabrowa, a Polish professional team.

Setting The Tone
Senior setter Laura Avila has been a leader on-and-off the court for the Orange and Brown during her four seasons. A captain once again in 2013, Avila is just 96 assists shy of moving into fourth place all-time in career assists at Bowling Green State University.

Milwaukee comes to the InnTowner Invitational with a 3-3 record, after opening the season at tournaments hosted by two different MAC schools. At a tournament hosted by Western Michigan to begin the season, the Panthers went 0-3, dropping a match to WMU, 3-2. Last weekend, Milwaukee played in Akron, winning the tournament with a 3-0 record. They defeated the host Zips 3-1 in their match. Coached by Susie Johnson, the Panthers have a young core, as they only have one senior on the roster.

The Series vs. Milwaukee
Bowling Green and Milwaukee have never met in a volleyball match. Friday's match will be the first ever between the two schools.

Scouting Kansas
The Jayhawks bring a veteran-laden team to Madison, as they only have six players that are considered underclassmen (first two years). Coached by Ray Bechard, KU enters the weekend with a 4-2 record. They'll play a midweek match against Creighton on Tuesday night, whom the Falcons lost to in three sets during the Hampton Inn Invitational in Bowling Green.

Scouting Wisconsin
The Badgers enter the weekend with a perfect 6-0 record, with a national rank of 25 this week. Wisconsin has won both tournaments this year, going an unblemished 3-0 at the Pepperdine Invitational and North Dakota State Invitational. Coached by Kelly Sheffield, the Badgers are led offensively by Ellen Chapman. Chapman is averaging 4.18 kills/set this season.

The Series vs. Wisconsin
Saturday night's meeting with be the fifth all-time meeting between the Badgers and Falcons, with UW leading the series 3-1. The teams first met in 1991, and the Falcons' win came in 1992 at Wisconsin. The last meeting came in 2002.
