Bowling Green, Ohio – With the 2014 Fall semester quickly approaching, the Bowling Green State University head women's golf coach Stephanie Young is excited to release the Falcons upcoming 2014 fall schedule.
"We are very excited about our fall schedule," commented Coach Young. "It is an excellent mix of new and familiar events that will allow us to play challenging golf courses and compete against tough competition."
The Falcons are slated to compete in four events in the month of September before rounding out the 2014 fall season with two tournaments in early October.
For the fourth consecutive year, Coach Young and the Falcons will tee-off its fall season at the Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State University on September 7-8 in Normal, Illinois.
After a one-day tournament at the Jon P. Spiess Memorial hosted by Defiance College in nearby Defiance, Ohio on September 14, the Falcons will again compete in a familiar event by taking part in the Cardinal Classic hosted by fellow MAC member Ball State University in Yorktown, Indiana on September 22-23.
BGSU will then wrap up the month of September in Rochester, Michigan in a two-day event on September 27-28 hosted by Oakland University on Rochester, Michigan, before opening up the month of October at the TPC Rivers Bend & UC Fall Invitational hosted by the University of Cincinnati on October 6-7 in Maineville, Ohio.
Bowling Green will close out the fall slate for the second straight season at the Rocket Classic held by the University of Toledo in Port Clinton, Ohio on October 13-14.
The Falcons return eight golfers from last season including Patricia Holt, Shelby Wilson, Lily Bartell, Lauren Diehl, Julia Hoffman, Hannah Lewis, Mikayla Baer and Fran Rodriguez, as well as welcome the addition of two incoming freshmen in Miranda Dubler and Madelynn Swank.
