BGSU Men's Hoops School Day Game Set For Dec. 19

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will host its annual School Day Game, scheduled for Monday, Dec. 19 against Fairmont State. The game is now scheduled to tip at 11 a.m. inside the Stroh Center, a change from the originally set time. The game will continue a multi-year partnership with the BGSU basketball programs and a number of schools throughout the region.Â
Fans planning to attend the game should plan for a louder environment. General attendance will be relocated to the Anderson Club seating for this contest.Â
The Falcons will enter the 2022-23 season with a new look roster, consisting of seven newcomers and eight returners. Five seniors will return for the Falcons with Samari Curtis, Isaac Elsasser, Brenton Mills, Gabe O'Neal and Chandler Turner. Sophomores Kaden Metheny and Jackson Watson along with redshirt freshman Ubongabasi Etim will round out the returners for the Orange and Brown.
As for the newcomers, the Falcons will welcome three freshmen and four transfers to the fold. Senior guard Leon Ayers III joins the Falcons from Duquesne while senior forward Madani Diarra arrives from Indian Hills CC. The junior class will welcome two forwards with Sam Towns coming from Ohio and Rashaun Agee joining from Casper College. As for the freshman class, Jamai Felt will be the lone forward and will be joined by guards Willie Lightfoot and Anthony McComb III.
The Falcons' regular season is set to begin on Nov. 7 as Bowling Green welcomes Air Force to the Stroh Center for a 7 p.m. tip.Â
