Matt St. Louis enters his fourth year as an assistant athletic trainer at BGSU in 2023-24. He works primarily with the Falcons' women's basketball program.
His first three seasons in Northwest Ohio have seen the Falcons post an overall record of 69-31. BGSU captured a MAC regular-season championship in 2020-21, his first season, and the Falcons have advanced to national postseason play in each of those three years.
In 2022-23, the Falcons tied the school and MAC records for wins in a season, going 31-7. BGSU's last four wins came in the WNIT as the Orange and Brown advanced to the semifinal round of that tournament for the first time in school history.
St. Louis has previously worked with the BGSU swimming team, as well as providing assistance to many other BG teams.
St. Louis joined the Falcons after serving as an athletic trainer at Michigan Technological University since 2014. With MTU, he worked with the volleyball, cross country, Nordic skiing, track and field, men's basketball, women's soccer and men's and women's tennis teams.
A 2010 graduate of Eastern Oregon University, St. Louis earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Activity and Health-Exercise Science. He earned a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Montana State University Billings in 2014.
A native of Summer Lake, Oregon, St. Louis is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
