David Sims joined BGSU Athletics in the fall of 2014 as a Graduate Assistant in the Student-Athlete Services Department. Sims is a 2013 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration.

Sims' current responsibilities include serving as an Assistant Academic Coordinator, providing academic support for gymastics, monitoring the academic study table sessions and working with the Student-Athlete Advisory Commitee.

In 2014, Sims provided academic support for both the men's and women's soccer programs.

Sims is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration within the school of Human Movement, Sport & Leisure Studies at BGSU. He aspires to one-day work for a professional or collegiate sport organization in event planning or game day operations.
