Petruska Third Falcon to Go Pro

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Following in the footsteps of Kyle Page and Kai Kantola, Tomas Petruska has been signed to a professional contract to play hockey after he has completed his collegiate career with the BGSU Falcons.
Over the weekend, Petruska was signed to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the East Coast Hockey League. He was active for the Wranglers' series with the Bakersfield Condors and netted his first professional point with an assist in their 5-4 win on Friday night. He also posted an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over Bakersfield, now possessing two assists on the season.
Petruska joins former Falcon goaltender Jimmy Spratt on the Wranglers' roster and is the third Falcon to go the professional route since their season ended last weekend.
During his senior season, Petruska set career highs in goals (10), assists (14) and points (24) and finished the season with a (-7) on-ice rating. Of his ten goals, he tied for the team-high with four power-play scores. Petruska also finished fifth in the Hobey Baker Award fan voting with a total of 11,586 votes from college hockey fans across the globe.
