Several people have sent in their memories of the Falcon men's basketball team's win over Michigan State on Dec. 1, 1990. BGSU downed the fifth-ranked Spartans before an overflow crowd that showed why the arena earned the nickname 'The House That Roars.' Here are a few of your memories from that afternoon ...

Randy
My fondest memory of Anderson Arena is the men's basketball team beating Michigan State (with Steve Smith and Jud Heathcote).
David
There was a Saturday afternoon men's basketball game against Michigan State. The game was a sellout. The general admission was overflowing, and so was the arena!! The band was rocking, Anderson Arena was as loud as it ever was, and BG played to their potential and beyond. BGSU BEAT, pretty easily, a very good Michigan State team.
Michael
By far the best moment I had and/or witnessed at Anderson Arena was the complete domination of Michigan State on a Saturday afternoon when they were ranked in the top five. The House was roaring on that day, and was as loud as I can remember, with people packed in all corners and areas. That is what made Anderson so special. It will never be forgotten. It was after that game when Jud Heathcote said, "We will never play in that building again." I guess he knew what was best for his program.
Jason
In the 1990-91 season, BG defeated Jud Heathcote's MSU Spartans who were led by NBA-bound Steve Smith. After the defeat, Heathcote said he'd never play in a MAC arena again because the Big 10 couldn't get a call. The fan involvement that day helped lead the Falcons to victory. I stood in line for hours to get a courtside seat. It's still the best college game I've been to.
Bill
My greatest memory is the beating we gave to Michigan State in December 1990, Anderson Arena was rocking. I was sitting under the nets and the noise was so loud you could not even talk to the person sitting next to you. I had invited my Michigan State friends to the game. To this day, they still talk about how our fans were in a frenzy.
