Liz Honegger provided Falcon fans with many memories during her four-year playing career. As a freshman in 2003-04, she was a starter on a BGSU women's basketball team that advanced to the championship game of the MAC Tournament. BG won both regular-season and tournament titles in each of her final three seasons, beginning a six-year championship streak that continues today. She shares some of her favorite memories from those four years ...

As I reflect on the countless hours I spent at Anderson Arena during my years as a student-athlete at BGSU, many fond memories pop into my head. Below is a list of these memories in no particular order. I found hilarious moments, physically and mentally tough times, successes, tears, friendships, milestones, and life lessons in Anderson Arena. All of those moments have helped to shape the person I am today.
As a women's basketball player, I loved the homey and quaint confines of Anderson Arena. I will always hold a place in my heart for the memories I have within those four walls. That being said, I am also looking forward to the completion of the Stroh Center and the opportunities the facility will bring not only to the continuing success of our women's basketball program, but also to our entire university. And now for the list:
• Playing 56 minutes vs. NIU in a 4 overtime game freshman year
• Kelly Kapferer hitting the guy on the ladder with the ball from half court
• "Coach: What'd you eat for lunch today Tara?
Me (answering for Tara): Tuna Wrap!"
• Study Tables Freshman year
• Shooting alone 90 minutes before tip-off
• My late cousin, Truman
• Stanford. Six-spot. Falcons vs. The Clock.
• Lindsay Austin's Buzzer beater vs. Western Michigan in the 2003-2004 season
• Senior Day - Beating Miami by 30 points
• Scoring my 1000th point
• Talking to friends, family, and fans on the court after games
• Shooting at 1:00 a.m. in an almost empty arena (save for Coach Dakich) after returning home from a road loss
• Kelly Kapferer's 3-point play against Toledo on 2004-2005 senior day
• Wearing winter coats because it was freezing inside
• Not being able to workout because the humidity made the floor too slick
• Shooting the Nike Free Style Commercial for one of Whitney Taylor's many VCT projects
• Beating Indiana by 35 during my senior year
• Sweet 16 Ring Ceremony
• Playing the game I love with my best friends, for the greatest coaches, in front of the most amazing fans for four wonderful years.
