The match, the Falcons' final scrimmage before regular-season play begins, was held at sun-drenched Cochrane Field.

The Falcons controlled the play for most of the 91-plus minutes, with an 18-7 advantage in shot attempts and eight shots on goal to the Greyhounds' two. But, the Brown and Orange could not get a ball past the UI 'keepers until early in the OT period.
The winning goal came when Comiskey made a long run into the 18-yard box. The freshman, heading from left to right across the penalty area with three defenders around him, hit a low shot across his body. The shot was out of the reach of UI goalie Justin Roberts, and rolled into the net, just inside the left post (see video below).
The Greyhounds had the first scoring chance of the game, when Max Marsh mulletted a shot that went over the head of Falcon goalkeeper Miguel Rosales. But, the volley also went over the goal with nearly five minutes elapsed.
With approximately 18 minutes gone in the first half, Comiskey's pass put fellow Falcon freshman Jacob Eganhouse in on goal, and Eganhouse got off a shot from the left side of the penalty box. But, Roberts made a diving effort and got a piece of the shot, and the ball trickled wide of the far post.
Off of the ensuing corner kick, senior tri-captain Thomas McLean directed a shot on goal, but the shot was right at Roberts, who was able to make the save.
Marsh had another shot attempt less than two minutes later for the visitors, but his free kick, hit with great velocity, sailed high.
Senior Dusko Topolic, had a chance with 18:30 left in the half, but the tri-captain rocketed his shot just wide of the near post. Just a moment later, Comiskey placed a shot just wide of the far post. Comiskey led all players with six total shots on the day.
Just under eight minutes remained in the half when Topolic's long throw-in sailed toward freshman Sam Galloway. Galloway made a nifty move to elude a would-be defender, then whirled and fired, but the turnaround shot was right at the UIndy 'keeper, and Roberts held on to the ball. The teams went to halftime knotted in a scoreless draw.
Early in the second half, Falcon freshman Zach Schewee slid a crossing ball to Comiskey, whose one-timer from close range was blocked by UI 'keeper Andrew Verhonik. The rebound came out to the top of the penalty area, where Galloway hit a follow-up try. But, Verhonik was able to get to that shot as well, keeping the match scoreless.
Nearly midway through the half, UI's Kevin Eggert ripped a shot from just inside the penalty area, but the half-volley was just barely off target.
Under fifteen minutes remained in regulation when a long free kick off the boot of sophomore Chris McLean sailed into the box. Junior tri-captain Tanner Fink got his head on the diagonal ball, but the shot was right at Roberts, who was back in the match.
With under 10 minutes on the clock, junior Byard Ebling played a right-side cross to freshman Ryan Snashall in the area. Snashall's one-time effort went just wide.
The Falcons would threaten several more times in regulation. Under three minutes were left when BG worked the ball upfield. Junior Max Weston was involved in the buildup, and found Snashall with a pass. Snashall, in turn, put Ebling through on the left side of the box, but Ebling's shot went directly to Roberts.
In the final minute of the second half, a long free kick by Weston found the head of Fink, but the junior's shot was wide of the frame. That was the final chance of the half, setting the stage for Comiskey's heroics in the extra session.
BGSU held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks, in addition to the aforementioned margins in shot attempts and shots on goal. Rosales picked up the shutout win for the Brown and Orange, making two saves in his complete-match effort.
At the other end of the pitch, Roberts had five saves in 62-plus minutes, while Verhonik made two stops in his 29-minute, second-half stint.
The BGSU starting lineup featured six newcomers, including four true freshman.
The Brown and Orange won two of the team's three scrimmages, outscoring opponents by a combined 5-2 in those three matches.
The Falcons now turn their attention to the regular season. BGSU will head to Davidson, N.C., next weekend for the Davidson adidas Classic, taking on Appalachian State on Friday (Sept. 3) and the host Wildcats on Sunday (Sept. 5).
