BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics has announced that fan buses will be available for the Falcons Mid-American Conference Championship bout next Friday (Dec. 4). Bus transportation is available for BGSU fans from Bowling Green to Detroit for just $30. However, the first 200 BGSU students who purchase a $5 ticket for the MAC Championship Game and RESERVE their spot on the fan bus will receive FREE transportation to the game for themselves (not available for student guest tickets). BGSU students who want to be on the same bus as their friends are encouraged to reserve their spot and purchase at the same time to ensure greater odds that groups are paired together.
Â
The $30 price for transportation to the game does NOT include the cost of a game ticket ($20 for general public, $10 for Falcon Club members and $5 for students). Students, Falcon Club members and fans can purchase their game ticket through the BGSU Ticket Office by purchasing online at BGSUFalcons.com/tickets, by calling 877-BGSU TICKET, or by going to the BGSU Ticket Office in the Stroh Center during regular business hours. Bus reservations can only be made over the phone or in person at the Stroh Center Ticket Office. Bus reservations CANNOT be made online.Â
Â
If you have already purchased your game ticket through the BGSU Ticket Office, you can still reserve your space on the bus by calling or making an appearance at the BGSU Ticket Office.
Â
The sale of tickets for bus transportation to the game will conclude at 5 pm on Thursday, Dec. 3. After that time, the BGSU Ticket Office will continue to sell game tickets without a bus transportation opportunity.
Â
Fan and student buses will leave from the Stroh Center parking lot at 3:30 pm on Friday. Please ensure that you arrive early as the buses will not wait for fans not on the bus by 3:30 pm. BGSU Athletics staff will be on site with a list of buyers. Please check in with them prior to loading the bus. A valid ID (or BGSU ID for free student transportation) will be required for check-in. Parking in the Stroh Center parking lot will be free for all riders. The bus will drop fans off at Ford Field and all fans are encouraged to make the short walk to Buffalo Wild Wings, where the BGSU Alumni Association Pregame Event is taking place starting at 5:30pm. This event is free to the public, but food and beverages will be charged separately. Buses will depart no later than 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
