Falcon Club Renewals Now Underway; Exciting New Benefits For Members!

Bowling Green, Ohio - The 2015-16 Falcon Club renewal season is officially underway, as the annual renewal solicitation is due to hit mailboxes of past Falcon Club members this week. On the heels of a year in which participation in the Falcon Club reached an all-time high, we face new challenges to our mission to cover the annual cost of student-athlete scholarships through private, philanthropic support.

The cost of scholarship has risen from $5.5 million just five years ago to a projected $7.1 million in the coming year as Falcon Athletics pushes ahead on fully funding all sports to the allowable NCAA scholarship limits. Additionally, new NCAA legislation which permits BGSU to pay the full cost of attendance to student-athletes on scholarship has created an expense which is critical to recruiting the very best students to Bowling Green. The cost of attendance reflects the amount of money a typical student is projected to need for school-related expenses during the academic year based on residency and degree program.

With these challenges in mind, the minimum entry level for Falcon Club membership has been raised to $120 (or $10/month) and there have been enhancements made to Falcon Club membership, intended to create greater incentives to maintain membership, and ideally increase levels of giving:

SEASON TICKET HOLDER PARKING BENEFITS (all levels)
Unlike previous years in which Falcon Club membership qualified members for the right to purchase parking passes, under the new Falcon Club model, all 2015 BGSU Football season ticket holders who have joined the Falcon Club or renewed their annual membership (minimum of $120) by June 30 will be guaranteed complimentary game day parking as a benefit of membership. Parking passes will be tiered according to your annual membership level. Further, this parking privilege extends to season ticket holders for hockey and men's and women's basketball. MEMBERSHIP WRISTBANDS (all levels)
No more fumbling through your wallet or purse for your Falcon Club membership card. All members at the entry membership level and up will receive a Nike-branded Falcon Club wristband, with additional wristbands for a spouse or significant other available upon request. It's a great way to promote the Falcon Club to your friends, family and co-workers, and by wearing it every day, you guarantee yourself access to Falcon Club hospitality areas at all BGSU Athletics events!

FALCON CLUB PARTY DECK ($250+ annual membership)
The south end zone Falcon Club tent at Doyt Perry Stadium will no longer be an exclusive opportunity for Falcon Club members. Instead, we are adding a Falcon Club Party Deck off of the Sebo Center in the north end zone, allowing Falcon Club members at the $250 level and higher to enjoy an indoor/outdoor option to watch the game with food and beverage service available.

ANDERSON CLUB (men's & women's basketball…now just $250+ annual membership)
COURTSIDE SEATING (men's & women's basketball…$500+ annual membership)
Our men's and women's basketball season ticket holders who have been members at the $500+ level or higher have had the exclusive opportunity to purchase their seats in the Anderson Club and/or courtside for the last four years. Starting this year, we have dropped the membership level requirement for Anderson Club season tickets for both men's and women's season tickets to $250, and are incorporating the buffet and soft drink service into the season ticket prices at no additional cost! Courtside season tickets will also now include the buffet and soft drink service in the season ticket price.

NIKE CLOTHING OFFERS (all levels)
With our new Nike partnership, BGSU Athletics will be providing multiple opportunities throughout the year for Falcon Club members to purchase exclusive items at wholesale prices through My Team Shop. This online portal is brand new to BGSU through our recently signed apparel contract, and Falcon Club members will be regular beneficiaries of this new partnership.
