2017 FALL SEASON IN REVIEW
The Falcons concluded its 2017 fall season by competing in six tournaments, including one in Northwest Ohio -- The Inverness Intercollegiate hosted by Toledo. BGSU's depth was apparent throughout the fall as seemingly a different golfer led the Falcons each time out.
The team highlighted the fall season by winning the Mountaineer Intercollegiate in Bridgeport, W. Va. Max Rispler led BGSU to the championship by shooting 2-under par for the tournament. At the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, Nick Hofland led the Falcons with a strong third round. In his first collegiate meet, Inverness Intercollegiate, freshman Rodrigue Vie was the top finisher for the Falcons with rounds of 70-73. Mitchell Kontak finished at the top of the team standings for BG at the Autotrader Classic bolstered by a pair of 72s. Trey Walker tied for fifth place individually, recording 72-73 in the MTSU Classic. Pablo Heredia Iglesias led the Falcons to conclude the season at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic in Lahaina, Hawaii after firing a season-best 68 in the first round.
NEW HEAD COACH
John Powers will guide the Falcons in his first competition as Men's Golf Head Coach after joining the Falcons early in January. Powers is a 2010 graduate of Bowling Green State University, served as head coach at St. Bonaventure from 2011-14, and was most recently the associate head golf coach at Cleveland State, winning a Horizon League Championship with both the men's and women's programs.

The lineup for the weekend's invitational at the Georgia Southern Collegiate will include freshman Vie, sophomore Hofland, juniors Rispler, Walker and Heredia Iglesias and senior Kontak.
