BGSU Announces Stadium Seating Changes For 2018
February 19, 2018 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The BGSU Athletics Department has announced a new fan alignment inside Doyt L. Perry Stadium for the 2018 football season. After careful consideration and polling of the season ticket base and student fan panel, these changes will provide a more unified and accurate representation of the excitement and thrill of a BGSU Football game.
Â
The BGSU Football team, band and student seating will be moved to the east side of Doyt L. Perry Stadium. This will allow for greater student and band interaction, while also providing greater visibility for both groups to our television audiences. Important efficiencies will also be gained by the sideline switch. These include faster access to the sports medicine area, a closer proximity to the equipment room and improvement to the layout of coaches' booths.
Â
"Creating a great game day experience is important to not only our students, alumni and fans but also to the football team," Director of Athletics Bob Moosbrugger said. "We believe these changes will benefit all those parties and create a fun and lively atmosphere for everyone to enjoy."
Both the BGSU Ticket Office and the Falcon Club will be contacting those who may be affected by this change to answer questions and help make a determination on possible seat adjustments.
BGSU Football will open the 2018 season at Oregon Sept. 1. The home opener will follow the next week as the Falcons host Maryland on Sept. 8. BGSU will also host Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 15 and will have four Mid-American Conference home games, facing off against Buffalo, Kent State, Miami and Western Michigan in the Doyt. Dates of conference games and time of all games are yet to be determined.
