Men's Soccer Falcons Begin 2009 Preseason

Head coach Eric Nichols begins his first season at the helm of the Falcons, and has a total of 15 letterwinners, including nine starters, returning from last year's team. The 2008 BGSU squad finished with an overall record of 4-13-2.
"We are looking forward to the official start of preseason training," said Nichols. "The guys have been working hard on their own this summer, and we are excited about adding our five newcomers to the group of returnees. It's going to be an exciting pre-season."
The Falcons' schedule begins with a pair of exhibition games, including a home game vs. Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 3:00 p.m. After an exhibition at Cleveland State under the lights on Wednesday, Aug. 26, the games begin to count on Tuesday, Sept. 1, when the Nichols Era is officially christened with a home game against Marshall at Cochrane Field.
