Olson, Dunn Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golfer Charlie Olson and volleyball player Ashley Dunn.
Male Athlete of the Week
Charlie Olson, a sophomore transfer from Suttons Bay, Mich., earned individual medalist honors in just his sixth tournament as a Falcon when he won the 2010 APSU Intercollegiate. At the 54-hole event on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 18-19), Olson carded a total of 204 to break the BGSU record for 54-hole score by four strokes. After finishing in a four-way tie, Olson won the tournament playoff on the second hole by sinking a birdie putt after hitting an approach shot to within a few feet of the pin on the 11th hole.
Female Athlete of the Week
Ashley Dunn, a freshman from Bowling Green, Ohio, posted the match-high in digs in all three of the Falcons' contests this week and ran her string of matches with 12 or more digs to 16 in a row. She had 13 digs, seven assists and an ace as the Falcons beat Cleveland State, a team that entered the match with a 16-2 record, in three sets. She followed that up with 22 digs and another ace in a four-set loss to Toledo and closed out the week with 15 digs against Ball State.
