BGSU Athletes Volunteer For "An Afternoon With Legends"

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's student-athletes took part in a volunteer opportunity Sunday at the Wood County Senior Center for an event titled "An Afternoon with Legends". Autumn Dettmann, a cross country and track and field athlete who is also the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Vice President for Personal Development, organized the event.
Each BGSU athletics team that was not traveling was represented and the student-athletes mingled with the senior citizens and took part in dinner and BGSU athletics trivia. The student-athletes prepared and served the dinner and there were photo opportunities for those in attendance. As well, members of the women's basketball and hockey teams signed schedule posters and handed them out. In all, there were approximately 65 senior citizens and student-athletes present at the event.
