Men’s Golf Seventh After 18 Holes at UK Bluegrass Invitational

Round One Scores
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team shot an opening 18-hole score of 290 to sit in seventh at the UK Bluegrass Invitational. The second round was suspended due to darkness and will pick up first thing Sunday morning.
Fellow Mid-American Conference competitor Miami leads the 24-team field with a score of 281.
Bowling Green, Ohio, native John Powers opened with a 1-under, 70, to sit in a tie for sixth. After 18 holes of action Powers is four shots behind Miami's Craig Voorhees for the tournament lead.
Also competing for BGSU is Matt Schneider (72, T-25th), Parker Hewit (73, T-42nd), Drew Preston (75, T-72nd) and Wes Gates (75, T-72nd).
The completion of round two will take place on Sunday morning, followed by the third and final round in the afternoon..
