Results
The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished eighth with a 54-hole score of 913 (308-305-300) at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic. The Falcons' 300 on Tuesday was the fourth-best score among the 15-team field.
Matt Schneider finished in a tie for eighth with a score of 222. After opening with a 72-76 the senior shot a 74 in the third round for his second-straight top-10 performance in the 84-player field.
Wes Gates saved his best round of the tournament for last, carding a 74 on Tuesday afternoon. Combined with his 79-75 from day one the freshman finished in a tie for 26th.
Parker Hewit (77-76-77) finished in a tie for 37th, while Drew Preston (80-79-80) and John Powers (86-78-75) each tied for 61st.
Up next for the Falcons is the UK Bluegrass Invitational on Apr. 10-11.
