Baraldi, Eccleston Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's soccer player Danny Baraldi and women's tennis player Maddy Eccleston.
Male Athlete of the Week
Danny Baraldi, a freshman from Canton, Ohio, scored both of BGSU's goals this week as the Falcons suffered a pair of 2-1 road losses to end the season. Baraldi scored the tying goal in the second half at Wright State with just 13 minutes left in regulation. He followed that up with a goal on a free kick just 12 minutes into a match with Western Michigan.
Female Athlete of the Week
Maddy Eccleston, a junior from Toledo, Ohio, had a perfect 6-0 record at the Green and White Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. She won all three of her singles matches in straight sets in Flight B, defeating players from Michigan State and Wisconsin along the way. She also teamed with classmate Jade Johnson to win the Flight C doubles crown.
