Clarke, Steffen Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Jehvon Clarke and women's basketball player Chrissy Steffen.
Male Athlete of the Week
Jehvon Clarke, a freshman from Canton, Ohio, doubled his career-high by scoring 14 points against No. 21 Michigan State Saturday. He scored 12 of his points in the second-half, carrying a BGSU offense that struggled otherwise against the Spartans after being tied early in the second half. Clarke made 4-of-5 shots, including 1-of-2 from three-point range, and all five of his free-throw attempts, while adding three assists and two steals.
Female Athlete of the Week
Chrissy Steffen, a junior from Carmel, Ind., had 10 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist in a last-second 49-47 loss to Creighton. Playing 39 minutes, Steffen was 3-of-7 from the field and made one three-pointer. She helped the Falcons jump out to an early 7-0 lead and attempted six of the Falcons' eight free-throws on the afternoon.
