Phil Villapiano, a 1971 graduate of Bowling Green and a Super Bowl champion with the Oakland Raiders spoke with the current members of the BGSU football team a few hours before the Spring Game.
Villapiano, a 1976 BGSU Hall of Fame member was a first-team All-MAC member as a junior and senior and was the MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 1970.
Villapiano was a second round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders in 1971 and played in four Pro Bowls from 1973-76. He spent 13 seasons in the NFL, nine with the Raiders and four with the Buffalo Bills,
