Stroh Center Dedication To Take Place Sept. 9

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University has announced that the dedication of the Stroh Center will take place on Friday, Sept. 9, beginning at 2 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The Stroh Center is a brand new $36 million arena on the campus of Bowling Green State University and is the home of BGSU men's and women's basketball and volleyball.
The dedication of the facility will include the band, cheerleaders, dance team and mascots. BGSU President Dr. Mary Ellen Mazey will speak, along with Director of Athletics Greg Christopher and lead donor Kermit Stroh.
The volleyball team will play the first athletic event in the facility on that same date, hosting Michigan State at 6 p.m. That contest is the first match of the Best Western Falcon Plaza Invitational, with SIU Edwardsville facing Canisius at 8 p.m. There will be four matches the following day.
Tickets for the first volleyball match in the Stroh Center cost just $4 and fans who purchase three single-game tickets with get a fourth for free. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for the opener for just $2. Also, fans who purchase football tickets for the Sept. 10 game against Morgan State can purchase volleyball tickets for only $2. Season tickets are on sale for $35 and all tickets (single-game or season) can be purchased by calling the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU TICKET.
