Men's Golf to Close Fall Season at UD Invitational

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team will be competing in the University of Dayton Fall Invitational next week. The 36-hole event will be held at the NCR South Course and 15 other teams will be competing with the Falcons.
Dayton, Butler, Chicago Sate, Detroit, Evansville, IPFW, IUPUI, Loyola Chicago, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Ohio University, Owens, Robert Morris, Valparaiso and Western Kentucky all make up the event's field.
The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 22, and will begin at 11:00 a.m. The tournament will conclude the following morning with a 9:00 a.m. start, both rounds will have a shotgun start format.
All teams will have five athletes compete in the two rounds of 18 holes, with only the top four scores counting.
The South Course is a part of the NCR Country Club and it offers 7,055 yards of golf. While playing to a par 71, it has a 74.5 course rating with a 141 slope rating. The course played host to the 1969 PGA Championship and more recently, the 2005 U.S. Senior Open Championship. The course has been recognized by Golfweek for being 65th on the list of “Top 100 Classical Courses.” While also being a main fixture in Golf Digest's Top 100 list, the course opened in 1954.
