Football To Host "Get in the Game" Today
April 22, 2013 | Football
The Bowling Green State University football team, along with the BGSU cheerleading team, will be hosting a program called “Get in the Game, Save a Life” on Wednesday (April 24) from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. inside the BGSU Student Union. The program is aimed at boosting the ranks of potential marrow donors on the Be The Match Registry.
Thousands of people with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match Registry to find a match, an unrelated donor who can help give them a second chance at life.
For those interested in participating in this program, please join the BGSU football team inside the Student Union on Wednesday. You will be required to fill out a quick registration form and get a cotton swab of your mouth to determine your tissue type. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 60 years old.
This will be the fourth consecutive year the football team has helped with the “Be The Match” organization.
