Henderson, Griffin Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Anthony Henderson and swimmer Victoria Griffin.
Male Athlete of the Week
Anthony Henderson, a redshirt junior from Toledo, Ohio, averaged 20 points, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists as BGSU went 2-0 in MAC play on the week. He scored a career-high 27 points in a road win at Western Michigan Sunday, draining a career-high seven three-pointers, including four in a six-minute stretch that helped erase the Broncos' 15-point lead. He added four steals and went 10-of-16 shooting.
Female Athlete of the Week
Victoria Griffin, a freshman from Littlestown, Pa., won two events and swam a leg of the 200 freestyle relay that completed a late comeback as BGSU defeated Michigan State 150-144. Griffin remained unbeaten in dual meets this year with victories in the 100 and 200 freestyle. The Falcons trailed by three points in the final event but Griffin helped the 200 freestyle relay team finish first and get BGSU the win.
