Football Recognition Highlights Fantastic Weekend At BGSU

Bowling Green, Ohio - With eight home athletics events over a four-day stretch, this weekend should be a fantastic time at Bowling Green State University. Saturday is the University's Alumni Day and BGSU Athletics will be recognizing the football team on its MAC Championship and appearance in the Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl.
Listed below are all the promotions for fans and students this weekend:
Thursday, Jan. 23
Women's Basketball vs. Eastern Michigan, 7 pm
* 3.0 Recognition Night - BGSU Athletics will be recognizing the 252 student-athletes who have earned 3.0 cumulative grade point average, including 31 with a perfect 4.0 GPA
Friday, Jan. 24
Hockey vs. Lake Superior State, 7:07 pm
* BGSU Scarf Giveaway - The first 500 fans in the BGSU Ice Arena will receive a free BGSU scarf
* Sam B's Mystery Card Night - The first 2,000 fans in the BGSU Ice Arena will receive a Sam B's Mystery Card worth up to $100 on dining purchases at Sam B's Restaurant in Bowling Green
* Rave at the Arena - Fans are invited to wear neon colors as we feature a techno pregame mix
Saturday, Jan. 25 -- Alumni Day
Gymnastics vs. Eastern Michigan, 4 pm
* Pizza Giveaway - The first 100 students at Anderson Arena will receive pizza, courtesy of Pizza Hut
Men's Basketball vs. Miami, 6 pm
* Football Recognition Day - Select football players and Head Coach Dino Babers will be available for autographs in the Stroh Center from 5-6 pm; Team recognized at halftime for winning the MAC Championship
* Water Bottle Giveaway - The first 200 fans in the Stroh Center will receive a free aluminum water bottle
Hockey vs. Lake Superior State, 7:07 pm
* Original Bleacher Creatures return for game and will sit in Qdoba Chill Zone
Sunday, Jan. 26
Women's Basketball vs. Northern Illinois, 2 pm
* Alumni Day - All former players in attendance will be recognized at halftime
* Rally Towel Giveaway - The first 250 students at the Stroh Center will receive a free rally towel
