October 26, 2014 | Men's Golf
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University men's golf head coach Kevin Farrell will send five Falcon golfers to compete at the Rocket Individual Intercollegiate on Monday & Tuesday, Oct. 27 and 28, hosted by the University of Toledo at the Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg, Ohio.
The two-day tourney will be played at the par-72, 6,918-yard Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg. The 36-hole event will consist of a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. and 18 holes of competition each day.
The Falcons are slated to compete against individuals from Toledo, Indiana, Kent State and Valparaiso.
The five Falcons that will be teeing-off in the individual event are Eli Stacy, Holden Pahr, Ethan DeForest, Devin O'Grady and Mitchell Kontak.
Both Stacy and Pahr will be playing in their second event of the season at the Rocket Individual Classic, as each competed for the Falcons at the 2014 Badger Invitational in the last weekend of September. Stacy improved his score each and every round at the three-round Badger Invitational, posting rounds of 86, 84 and 79 to finish in 75th-place overall with a 54-hole score of 249, +33. Pahr tallied rounds of 80, 81 and 76 to finish the Badger Invitational with a three-round combined score of 237, +21, good enough to place in a tie for 64th-place overall.
Unlike their three teammates, DeForest and O'Grady will both be making their 2014 fall debuts this week. DeForest will be making his intercollegiate debut, as the freshman from Cottekill, N.Y. will tee-off for the first time as a Falcon on Monday morning. O'Grady, who is in his senior season at Bowling Green, played in one event last season for the Falcons carding rounds of 81, 79 and 84 for a combined score of 244 at the John Piper Intercollegiate.
Playing in his third event of the fall season is Kontak, who competed for BGSU in each of the first two tournaments back in early September. Kontak has recorded rounds of 75, 79, 80, 88, 82 and 89, thus far this season, registering an 86th-place finish at the Marshall Invitational and a 63rd-place showing at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate.
A recap and results will be available at the end of each day of play at www.BGSUFalcons.com.
