Redshirt junior earns honor for second straight year
Tyler Tate was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team on Thursday (Nov. 6). The redshirt junior from Carroll, Ohio holds a 3.97 in exercise science.

Tate is 14-of-17 on field goal attempts this season and has made 32-of-35 extra point attempts. He has been named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week on three different occasions. For his career, Tate has made 39 field goals, just six shy of the all-time record.

Bowling Green is part of District V for CoSIDA District voting. Of the 24 student athletes named All-District for District V (11 offensive players, 11 defensive players, one punter, one kicker), Tate's 3.97 GPA is ranked among the highest.
