Holmes, Donovan Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Richaun Holmes and women's basketball player Erica Donovan.
Male Athlete of the Week
Richaun Holmes, a senior from Lockport, Ill., led BGSU to a pair of wins, leading the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots in both contests. In a win over Southeast Missouri State, Holmes had 14 points and seven rebounds in 30 minutes of play. He followed that performance with a career day Sunday afternoon at Detroit, posting 26 points, 18 rebounds and five blocked shots. Holmes also scored the game-winning lay-up as time expired to lift the Falcons to a 64-63 win.
Female Athlete of the Week
Erica Donovan, a redshirt junior from San Antonio, Texas, was named to the DoubleTree LA Westside Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games. She had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the team's win over UC Irvine in the opening round and then had 14 points and nine rebounds the following day against Loyola Marymount.
