2015 Latin America Amateur Championship Scoring
Buenos Aires, Argentina – BGSU sophomore golfer Jose Narro followed up his first round 69 on Thursday with a second round 78, +6, on Friday to give him a 36-hole score of 147, +3, which was good enough for him to make the 60-player cut at the inaugural Latin America Amateur Championship held at the Pilar Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After the first two rounds of play, Narro's score of 147, +3, has him in a five-way tie for 33rd-place overall.
Over his second round of play, Narro recorded 12 pars, yet was hampered with six bogeys over his 18 holes. The Tampico, Mexico native posted a 38, +2, on the front nine and a 40, +4, on the back nine.
"Jose made the cut and that's all that matters," commented BGSU men's golf head coach Kevin Farrell. "He can come back this weekend with two rounds under par, boost his World Golf Ranking (WGR) and then get into some awesome events in the near future! It's great for Jose and great for BGSU men's golf."
