BGSU, Toledo NFL Players To Take Over Twitter Tuesday Night

Bowling Green, Ohio – Eight current NFL players will be given the reins of the BGSU and Toledo athletics Twitter accounts Tuesday night as the rivals battle at 6 pm on ESPN2. Four Falcons will take over @BGAthletics for an hour each from 5:30-9:30 pm and four Rockets will take over @ToledoRockets during the same time.
In fact, two sets of NFL teammates will be invited to go head-to-head on Twitter during the evening to provide their thoughts and commentary on the game. Fans are invited to follow @BGAthletics and @ToledoRockets all evening.
For Bowling Green, the Pittsburgh Steelers' Shaun Suisham will begin the evening from 5:30-6:30 pm, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Jude Adjei-Barimah from 6:30-7:30 pm. At 7:30 pm, the Washington Redskins' Kory Lichtensteiger will have control of the @BGAthletics account for an hour and the New England Patriots' Chris Jones will conclude the evening from 8:30-9:30 pm.
For Toledo, the Steeler's Bruce Gradkowski will go head-to-head with his teammate during the 5:30 pm timeslot, followed by the Buccaneers' TJ Fatinikun at 6:30 pm. The Green Bay Packers' Jayron Elliott will take over from 7:30-8:30 pm and Toledo's evening will conclude with the Tennessee Titans' Brett Kern at 8:30 pm.
Tuesday night promises to be one of the more important games in the longstanding rivalry between BGSU and Toledo. The Battle of I-75 features a Toledo team that has been ranked in the top 25 during the season and carries an 8-1 record into the game. Bowling Green enters the contest at 8-2 overall and has already clinched a third consecutive appearance in the MAC Championship game by virtue of a 6-0 league record. Both teams continue to earn votes in all of the major polls.
