Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team posted a first round team score of 292, +8, to end day one in 13th-place overall on Friday at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Hawai'i at the Ka'anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i.
The Falcons are 16 strokes behind the tournament leader, but are just four strokes out of the top-10 of the 19 team field heading into the second round of play on Saturday.
"We didn't play our best today and had a couple of big numbers," commented head coach Kevin Farrell. "But, there is still two more rounds of play, so we are going to go out and give it our best shot tomorrow in order to give us a chance on the final day."
