MOBILE, Ala. -- The clock has finally ticked under 48 hours until kickoff at the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl, and the Bowling Green State University football team is ready to get back on the field under the bright lights of Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Wednesday night. The third day at the GoDaddy Bowl was full of events and another practice, as the Orange and Brown continue preparations for a tough Georgia Southern team.
The morning began with a visit to University of South Alabama Children's & Women's Hospital, where a group of Falcons had a chance to interact with, and pass out gifts to, many of the patients staying at the hospital this holiday season. A group of about 15 players was invited from each team to partake in the event. Upon arrival at the hospital, the Falcons split into two groups -- one visiting the women's wing of the hospital, while the other visited the children. The morning was impactful for all of the Falcons in attendance.
After returning the hotel, the team went into position meetings prior to lunch and practice. Practice was once again held at UMS-Wright, the Falcons host school for the week. After practice, several members of the Northwest Ohio media, as well as the local Mobile media, were on hand to talk to the Falcons. After practice and dinner, the team headed to the bowling alley for a fun night of competition at the lanes against Georgia Southern. The team that has won bowling has won all but two of the GoDaddy Bowls in the history of the game. The bowling winner will be announced on Tuesday.
Tuesday will bring about an eventful day, as a press conference kicks things off in the morning. Both head coaches and athletic directors will speak to the media before keynote speaker Brent Musberger addresses the crowd. Following the press conference, the teams will arrive for the annual Mayor's Luncheon. After the luncheon, the Falcons will head back to UMS-Wright one final time for walkthrough. At night, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy a Mardi Gras parade in downtown Mobile, followed by a pep rally and fireworks show.
