Men’s Golf Schedule Change; Falcons to Play in the 2015 Aggie Invitational
March 30, 2015 | Men's Golf
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University men's golf head coach Kevin Farrell has announced a schedule change for the Falcons this weekend, as BGSU will travel to Bryan, Texas to play in the highly competitive 2015 Aggie Invitational on April 4-5.
BGSU, who was originally scheduled to play in the Seahawk Invitational on April 6-7, accepted a late invite to the 2015 Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at the Traditions Golf Club.
"As sad as I am for our team not being able to compete at the Seahawk Invitational like we had planned, I see the Aggie Invitational Tournament as a better chance for us to test our skills against some of the nation's top golf programs," commented Coach Farrell. "With us having a lot of positive momentum off our last round at the Lone Star Invitational, we are hoping to roll that over to our play this week against some very tough competition."
The tournament field includes Arkansas, Bowling Green, California, Kent State, LSU, Michigan, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Princeton, Texas Tech, UT-San Antonio and host Texas A&M. LSU (No. 6), Texas Tech (No. 9), Oklahoma (No. 16), California (No. 22), Arkansas (No. 32) and Texas A&M (No. 41) are all ranked in the top-50 nationally among all NCAA Division I men's golf programs by Golfweek.
The challenging event will tee-off with the first round of play beginning at 7:30 a.m. central time on Saturday, April 4, with the second round of play to follow immediately after.
The third and final round of play will start at 7:30 a.m. central time on Sunday, April 5.
