Head Coach Kevin Farrell will field a familiar lineup for the Falcons with a new face breaking into the lineup for the first time this spring season, as the Falcons will send out Jose Narro, Brett Rinker, Ryan Triller, Joe Cooper and Holden Pahr.
Narro will look to continue his strong spring season in which the sophomore has posted three sub-par rounds over six rounds of play for the Falcons in 2015. He is coming off rounds of 76, 69 and 72 at the Lone Star Invitational in which he finished in a tie for 31st-place overall with a 54-hole score of 217, +1. The Tampico, Mexico native leads the Falcons with a 73.00 stroke average overall on the year.
Rinker, who paced the Falcons with a top-20 finish at the Lone Star Invitational, has carded rounds of 69 and 71 over his last two rounds of play. The sophomore, who posted a 54-hole score of 213, -3 under par, last time out, has recorded a stroke average of 73.75 on the season and has posted a stroke average of 71.22 over his last nine rounds of play dating back to his eighth-place finish at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic in November.
Coming off his best 54-hole tournament of the year, Triller will look to carry the momentum over to the Aggie Invitational this weekend. The senior, who posted a third round 69, -3 under par, at the Lone Star Invitational, turned in a three-round combined score of 219, +3, at the event to finish in a tie for 41st-place overall. Triller, who has posted a stroke average of 74.76 overall on the season, has yet to post a score higher than 79 over his 21 rounds of play.
Playing in his seventh event this season for the Falcons, Cooper has had a consistent spring season thus far in which he has turned in 54-hole scores of 222, +6, at the Barona Collegiate Cup and 223, +7, at the Lone Star Invitational. The most experienced golfer on the BGSU roster, Cooper will look to build off his final round 72, even par, at the Lone Star Invitational this weekend and improve on his season stroke average of 75.62.
Pahr, the new face in the BGSU lineup this week, will be teeing-off for the Falcons for the first time since the Badger Invitational on Sept. 28-30. However, the junior has competed in two events as an individual since then, turning in a 54-hole score of 238, +22, and a 14th-place finish at the Rocket Individual Intercollegiate and a round of 79, +8, and a sixth-place showing at the BGSU & UT Individual Play event last week on March 29.
The challenging event will tee-off with the first round of play beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 4, with the second round of play to follow immediately after.
