Junior Falcons Basketball Camp
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University men's basketball head coach Michael Huger is excited to announce that the men's basketball program is bringing back the Junior Falcons Basketball program to Bowling Green.
"I am proud to return to BGSU, my alma mater, as the new men's basketball head coach. One very special part of our program is our camps; built on teamwork and fundamental elements of the game," Coach Huger stated. "When I was a student-athlete at Bowling Green one of my favorite experiences was coaching Junior Falcons. Now with the opportunity to bring this program back, I am thrilled for our players and staff to work with local kids and share our passion for basketball with the community."
Coach Huger and the men's basketball program will host four Junior Falcon Camp dates this fall on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The camp is open for children ages K-6th grade.
JUNIOR FALCONS DATES
Each day will begin with a fundamental session focused on learning the student's skill set as they receive individual and personalized instruction. League style games will begin after our first session on Sept. 13. The first session will be for coaches to evaluate the campers.
After our first session, players will be drafted and coached by current Falcon men's basketball players. Teams are arranged by grade and skill level. Each team will be coached by one of our BGSU men's basketball student-athletes and overseen by our coaching staff. Campers will receive a "draft notice" which will note their coach and the team they will be participating on.
With registration players will receive a PERSONALIZED Junior Falcons uniform consisting of a t-shirt and shorts. Junior Falcons will conclude with an awards ceremony on the final day of camp on Oct. 4.
Junior Falcons will be a fun, friendly competitive learning environment for all skill levels. We are excited for the opportunity to spend quality time with players and share our love of basketball. We invite parents and siblings to attend each day of camp to watch their child compete and learn!
"For Junior Falcons we welcome children of all different skill levels. We will create an atmosphere that will increase self-esteem and confidence, while enjoying the game," continued Coach Huger.
