The Sevilla, Spain native carded a first round 73, +1, in the opening round of play, which included two birdies overall. He followed that up with a second round 72, even par, which included five birdies over the 18-hole round, and was the lowest score of the day for his team.
"I am really proud of the way Pablo played today in such a prestigious event," commented BGSU men's golf head coach Kevin Farrell. "He was the most consistent golfer on his team throughout the day. He also overcame some tough weather conditions with it being damp, rainy and cold all day long. I'm excited to see what he does the second day of play and how he competes for the entire 18 holes."
The Spanish Boys National Team is in 14th-place overall after the first day of play with back-to-back team scores of 366 and 376 for a combined two-round team score of 742, +22. Spain will play in Flight B team flight on Thursday, July 8.
