BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University football team was back on the field for the sixth day of #BGCamp15 on Thursday morning, the first of two practices for the day. The team wore full pads during the morning session, and will wear just upper shells for this afternoon's session. The offense looked good throughout the 11-on-11 sessions, moving the ball and making big plays all over the field.
The practice format was very similar to the first five days, starting with individual drills for each position. The drills early on were focused on contact, whether that be tackling, blocking, or foot/hand technique. Once again, competition was key throughout practice, as the linemen squared off in pass rush drills, the running backs worked on blocking the linebackers on the pass rush, and the secondary squared off with the receivers. Ball security has been emphasized throughout camp, as well as defensive takeaways. This is apparent even after the play is over during practice, as the defensive guys on the sideline continue to try and force the ball out from the offensive players' hands.
Following practice, Dino Babers stopped by to discuss the first two-a-day of camp thus far. Matt Johnson also spoke with the media following the morning session. Video of the post-practice media session can be found above. Additionally, photos from the sixth practice of #BGCamp15 can be located at the link above.
