BGSU Athletics Announces New Partnership With AVI Foodsystems, Inc. (AVI)

Bowling Green, Ohio – Fans at BGSU's athletic events will see exciting changes to the concession and catering offerings as AVI Foodsystems commences a five-year partnership with the University in Aug. of 2015. The changes include optimizing speed of service and enhancing the culinary program with new options. The agreement encompasses all food and hospitality services for BGSU Athletics and AVI will be fully staffed in time for all Falcon athletics events in the fall.
"Food always plays such an important role in creating the ultimate fan experience," Chris Nelson, AVI's Executive Vice President for Education and Leisure & Entertainment Divisions, said. "We're thrilled to expand our partnership with Bowling Green State University and look forward to serving our guests with family hospitality."
AVI operates a variety of sports, leisure and entertainment complexes including the Huntington Center and SeaGate Convention Centre in Toledo, as well as Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University and Peden Stadium at Ohio University in Athens. Ohio-based AVI Foodsystems was selected after an extensive review process.
"We are excited to partner with AVI Foodsystems for all athletic concessions and catering," Jim Elsasser, Associate Athletics Director for Internal Affairs, said. "From their initial inquiry about the opportunity, AVI's leadership team has shown a strong commitment to grow the concession operation and to provide the resources to meet that goal. AVI is focusing on improving our fans' food experience at athletic events. We are truly pleased with this new partnership."
